The Vice Chancellor of NDU Professor Humphrey Ogoni issued a circular letter to the student body in response to the developments on campus. The letter requested that the students immediately take a mid-semester break, in order to avoid any breakdown of the rule of law on campus.
VC Ogoni ordered the student protesters to vacate the campus no later than 3 P.M. on Tuesday. He added that they would be informed when they could resume their studies.
